Terry L Troy, Jr

Terry Lamont “TJ” Troy, Jr. was born November 25, 1992, in Durham County, NC, to Terry Troy, Sr. and the late Natalie Smith. TJ departed this earthly life on January 21, 2021, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. He received his education from the Durham County School System. In his early years, he played football for the Tri -County Panthers and was a Little League baseball star. In his youth, he was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his LORD and Savior and sang with the male chorus.

TJ’s battle began as a child. As an adolescent he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, but he did not stop his stride. He started bowling at the age of 5 years old. He began with the Union Baptist Church Bantam League, then graduated to the Prep League and finally to the Major -Junior -Senior -League. His former coaches were astonished at his competitiveness especially against the older youth in the league. TJ also bowled in the Village Youth League at Village Lanes in Durham.
