Shamori Tylei Brown

Shamori Tylei Brown was born on Friday May 19, 2000.

Shamori was born at Columbus Hospital in Newark. Shamori was only twenty-one years old. He was suddenly taken from this life, as a result of senseless violence on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Truly gone too soon!

Mori was raised in Montclair and began his education in the Montclair school system. In October, 2010, he moved to Durham North Carolina with his great grandmother. No way could we let her go to Durham alone! So Mori was the chosen! (just Ask Uncle Joe, who helped Ash decide.lol)

Shamori leaves to cherish his memories his sister and brother BRIANA AND ZEKHI, Aunt (Ta-Ti) Brittany Ayanna of Irvington. Uncle Ryan of Irvington, New Jersey, Grandparents: John (pop pop) and Denise Rawls (ma-ma) of Irvington, New Jersey; Great-grandmother: Joyce Brown, Durham, North Carolina, and Great-grandmother: Dorothy Rawls of Dallas, Georgia. Great uncle’s Joseph & Anthony Brown, Irvington, NJ, Gregory Rawls of East Orange, NJ; Great aunts: Mary Ann and Annette Rawls, God-brothers, Jamear & Chris, Godmother: Keisha Benson, Orange, NJ, Confidants/Go toos: Shanise Slater/Robert Brown, Girlfriend: Anya Sims of Durham North Carolina and a host of other “special” relatives and many friends!
