Mae McDonald Obituary

Mae Lossie Carroway McDonald was born on January 28, 1934, to the late Lucille Carroway Morris and Alphonzo Burch in Lamar, South Carolina. She entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, in Durham, North Carolina. She was married to the late David McDonald, Sr., and to this union, eight children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, David McDonald, Jr., and Garrick McDonald, and two daughters, Laura McDonald and Jenny Allen. She leaves to cherish her memories her three daughters, Willie Mae McDonald, Emily McCullers, and Brenda McDonald; and one son, Willie “Pop” McDonald. A great niece/daughter, Denise McDonald. Her sisters, Luella (Clarence) Williams of Pompano Beach, Florida, and Lillie Mae Pierre of Darlington, South Carolina, and her sister-in-law, Lula Mae Cooper of Richmond, Virginia, and 25 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Wake and Funeral Services will be as follows:

Wake and Visitation on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 6-8 at Monument of Faith and Final Services on Friday, May 24, 2025, at 10:30 am at Monument of Faith.
