Obituary
Joseph Slaughter was born on June 1st, 1966, to the late Mr. Samuel Bank Slaughter and Mrs. Fannie Stainback Slaughter in Oxford, NC.
Joseph accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age. He graduated from J.F. Webb High School. He later joined Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Durham, NC.
Joe was what the family would call him very outgoing, love to travel, join family gathering
at Thanksgiving and Christmas and working out.
He enjoyed life to the fullest. We know that he is now resting in the arms of the Lord.
He will be truly miss by his family and friends.
He is survived by his partner Guadalupe Tijerina, four sisters Michelle Slaughter Bowditch (William), Patricia Slaughter Graham (Weldon), Kathy Slaughter Snyder, Jacqueline Slaughter McCrea, two brothers, Nick Stainback, Warren Slaughter, three brother-in-law Dexter L. McCrea, William E. Bowditch, Weldon Graham, and sister-in-law Marilyn Slaughter.
He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of great loving friends, one Aunt Ruth Stainback and one Uncle Jerome Stainback (Josephine).
Joe was preceded in death by one son DeCarlo L. Polk (Little Joe), one sister Emma A. Slaughter and three brothers Pastor James T. Slaughter, Jerome Stainback and Sam Clark Slaughter.
