With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Herman D. Evans Sr., who departed this life peacefully on February 19, 2025. Born on December 6, 1944, in Durham, NC, to the late Walter and Flonnie Evans, he lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to his family and community.
His legacy of love and strength will continue through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Homegoing Service is Friday, February 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, 1415 Holloway St., Durham, NC 27703. Hanes Funeral Service will oversee the funeral arrangements.
