Brenda Pitts

Brenda Dillard Pitts, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on June 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 9, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Marie Criddell and Larce Dillard.

Brenda devoted her life to caring for others—lovingly raising her daughters, supporting extended family, and pouring her heart into her cooking, which brought comfort to many. Though she faced health challenges, her spirit remained resilient and her faith unwavering.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rashidah Bryant (Terrence), Rashad Gaines (Domyacht "Dee"), and Shaylynn Hugget Green (Benjamin Tariq); grandchildren, great-grandchild, siblings, and a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Brenda’s memory. Details to follow.
