Beatrice Percell Hasty was born in Clio, South Carolina July 24, 1935 to the late John and Geneva Percell.
She attended public schools in Clio, South Carolina.Beatrice Percell Hasty worked at Watts Hospital, Gold Kist Poultry, and as a CNA for Triangle Home Health. Over the course of her life she held down several positions, always doing what she needed to do to care for her family.
Beatrice Percell Hasty was a member of Full Gospel Church, United for Christ, and attended several other churches throughout Durham. Beatrice loved God and through her love she ministered to and fed many people.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Hasty Sr.; parents, John and Geneva Percell; grandmother, Lucile Easterling; brothers, Jimmy Lane Percell, John (Bubba) Percell; grandsons, Quinten Hasty, DeMarcus Hasty, Guyswa Hasty, Brandon Hasty, Tommy Trice; granddaughters, Valerie Trice and Deja Parker.
Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Sandra Rorie, Willie Mae Beal, Geneva Melton (Ronnie); one son Sam Hasty Jr. (Tammy); three brothers, Jimmy Earl Percell (Glenzie), Dan Percell, and Charles Percell (Nancy); two sisters, Lucile Rochelle (the late Charles
Rochelle), Annie Crawford (Kenny); 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and a host of great-great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
