Acie Junious Stewart

Acie Junious Stewart, 75, of Durham, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on July 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family and friends. Born on July 26, 1949, in Caswell County, he was the son of the late John Willis Elmore and Mildred Lipscomb-Goods, who survives.

A proud U.S. Army veteran and a man of deep faith, Acie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was married to Dorothy Stewart for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Stewart; mother, Mildred Lipscomb-Goods; daughters, LaDrenna Jackson (Eric) and Christie Resse (Tony); seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers, one aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
