Walter Council Obituary

Walter Leo Council was born on October 31, 1957 in Chatham County, NC. He departed this life on September 10, 2019.

He attended Northwood High School and enlisted into the US Army Reserves and then enlisted into The US Marines. Walter was employed by UNC Hospitals. He attended Holland Chapel AME Zion Church when his health permitted. He loved his family and was a diehard UNC fan.

Walter was preceded in death by Father, Ernest Council, Mother, Laura Mae Council, two brothers, Charles and Albert, one Sister, Laura Rebecca Council.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Wife, Clarina Jacobs-Council, Son, Justin (Rosa)of the Philippines, two grandchildren, two brothers, Wilbert (Jackie), Ervin (Natasha) both of Durham, NC, four Aunts, one special Aunt, Mary Hubbary, two Uncles, Zeb Evans and Eutie Wilson, one special Niece, Varllonia McNeil, Two great Nieces, Ta’Kala McNeil, Ashleigh Harris and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
