Martha Dockery

MARTHA DELLA HARRISON DOCKERY, was born on June 10th, 1918 in Warren County to the late Johnie Harrison and Susie Cheek Harrison. She danced into heaven on November 22nd, 2019 at home.surrounded by family. She was the widow of Arthur Robert Dockery Sr.

She was soft spoken but firm, gentle & kind, loves her grandchildren and UNC basketball. She retired after 20 plus years from UNC Chapel Hill at Granville Towers where she met many future Hall of Famers, such as Michael Jordan, James Worthy & Phil Ford.

Children: Arthur Dockery Jr (deceased)-daughter in law (Sandra Dockery), Jack Harrison (deceased), Effie Jones-Son in law (Nathaniel Royster), Gloria Jean Dockery
Grandchildren: Jemon Council-Wife (Charmaine Radcliffe)-New York City, Sandy Moore-Husband (Bryan Moore Sr.), Nikki Dockery-Ft Washington Maryland, Tiffany Dockery (deceased)
Great Grandchildren: Saphya Council-Los Angeles, Caira Council, Myia Burgess, Bryan Moore Jr., Alexis Dockery.
Friends: Rev Edna Horton and Caroline Woods

Hobbies: Enjoyed fishing, bingo, yard sales, collecting stuffed animals and going to church
