Charles Bernard Cox, affectionately known as Bernard was born on February 18, 1950 to the late Juanita Cox in Durham, NC.
Bernard received his formal education through Durham Public Schools. He was employed at Farmers and Chain.
Bernard enjoyed spending time outside. He had a great love for family and laughter. Bernard especially enjoyed singing and his favorite ballard was entitled Ria Ria, which was writ- ten by himself.
Although he had no children of his own, he was a father figure to many.
Bernard is preceded in death by his mother Juanita Cox and his godparents Charles and Diane Council.
Bernard leaves to cherish his memory his aunts Mary, Linda (Streeter), Darlene, Peggy, Carolyn of Raleigh. N.C, Shirley of Greensboro, N.C. along with his uncles Bobby, Billy, James, and Paul all of Durham, N.C. Bernard leaves behind his care- taker, Pamela Cox-Williams(Alonzo), special cousins Shawn, Cassandra, Crystal, Sherria, and Gregisha, and his bestfriend Alonzo Williams all of Durham, N.C. He leaves behind a host of family and friends that he loved dearly.
